Crocheting up a Storm

So I've been looping away, crocheting up a storm. Since my last post, I  accepted the challenge to create a King size blanket for someone. It's going along pretty well. Of course, my family isn't thrilled that I keep buying yarn with the Green Bay colors.

Sometime, I really need to work on some items for our house but that doesn't pay. :)

I would really like to try my hand at some other team logos. Any suggestions? Would anyone like to be the first client and receive a nice discount? Alabama fans? Texas A&M?  I saw a really cool Texas flag blanket that would be awesome.

As I finished the logo on the King-size blanket, it dawned on me that maybe people would like a bed foot afghan. It would look something like this:

Oops! the blanket is upside down!

Of course, I could easily adjust this to a Georgia Bulldog afghan or even Ohio State! My estimated cost would be around $150. This one is 25"x75"

I've also been working on a couple baby afghans.

I have a new great niece named, Lillie. So I made her a Lillie Pad!
My niece & great niece!

Also, have a new little nephew coming this summer. So I added to a traditional baby blanket to make it nautical.

Also had some fun with green for St. Patty's for a door prize at the Ladies' function at church. Here's the start of one. But I forgot to take a photo of the final outcome.

Well, hope you enjoyed these. If you need something made, just send me a message.

A Stitch in Time

This Green Bay Blanket (45x35) was made in a short ten days. My brother ordered this after seeing my previous Georgia Bulldog blankets. I'm getting pretty good at this pattern. With Green Bay still in the play-offs, maybe there will be others interested in ordering one!  $150

Just a reminder of what the Georgia Blanket looked like!

This blanket is so beautiful and soft. But it was a challenge since the yarn was only 2-ply. My eyes and the Rheumatoid Arthritis give my fits on this one.

Stitching Gifts for Nieces & Trying Something New

My goodness just saw this never got published.

I've been working feverishly to finish up some projects before Christmas. In between the orders, I made a few Christmas stockings. I thought it would be something simple I could work up and sell several for Christmas. They weren't hard to do; however, in the meantime, I receive some blanket orders that have taken most of my time. So the verdict is, Work on these next summer to have ready to monogram and ship. I'm excited about that option.

I shipped my first GA stadium blanket and the client contacted me immediately upon receiving it. She wanted me to make a guitar blanket for her grandfather. I agreed to do it. No that was a challenge, but just finished it this week in time for her to give it at a party this Saturday. I sure hope it looks good enough for her. I know I can do a better job the next time around.

I'm now working on this purple ripple blanket. When I ordered the kit I didn't think it would be too hard. What I didn't notice is that the yarn is 2-ply. These old eyes are having the challenge this time!

I have several waiting in line to be made after the first of the year and I need to find time to make the ones for family babies and weddings coming up this year. It's going to be a busy year.  Or I need to learn to work faster!

Merry Christmas!

Stitching New Patterns

Wow! I decided to go out on a limb and try something new. I had never done any tapestry type work.my family encouraged me to try a Georgia Bulldog blanket.

This was my first try.

I was amazed at how well it turned out.
It wasn't as difficult as I might have thought, so I decided I would make another to sell. I changed a few rows and added some white around the edges along with the black and red. It turned out very nice. AND it is already sold!

My family says they'll let me make one for Green Bay (if the price is right) Ha ! Ha !

So ... if you are interested in one of these stadium Blankets or a baby blanket of any color, check out my Etsy page by clicking on the ETSY box below.

Stitched up in June

Happy Fourth, y'all!

Hope you are having a great time with friends and family.

I thought I would take a moment and update you on my crafting project.

The ladies at church came together and made wreath's for the holiday. Here's few snapshots ...

As I shared last month, I took some leftover yarn and made a baby blanket for the youth auction. The buyer requested that when I finish the project to add a pink ribbon instead of green. Here was the final outcome.

Mr. Gary immediately gave me instructions to make him a second blanket for his daughter having a boy this August. That one is now in the works....

I had also started a purple throw to giveaway on my blog Fibromyalgia is Real. I finished it a week or so ago ....

My husband has been telling me I should sell these. I'm not sure how I make ones to sell AND complete those I make for nieces and nephews that keep having babies and getting married, but OK ... If you would like one like this, contact me. The price is $50 plus shipping.

As soon as I make a couple of those baby blankets, I sell them too!

Keeping you in Stitches!
